Power cuts used to make my evening electricity bill feel like a lottery, especially during summer when the air conditioner ran after sunset. What I appreciate most is that the battery works quietly in the background. The monitoring app shows solar production, battery state of charge, and household consumption, although I check it more than I probably need to. I set a 20 percent reserve for outages, and that has already helped during two storms. The lights flickered, but the transfer was fast enough that the router and refrigerator stayed on.

I did have one minor scare: the battery stopped charging after a firmware update. The app showed an error, and restarting the inverter did nothing. Customer support had me isolate the system for five minutes, then reconnect it. Charging resumed, and the stored energy was unaffected. Since then, I have kept the reserve setting and automatic updates enabled. For me, this solar battery is less about energy independence slogans and more about making expensive evening electricity predictable.
