I installed my first home solar battery storage system last spring, mainly to stop buying expensive electricity during the evening peak. The setup was less intimidating than I expected. I power-cycled the inverter once, checked the backup reserve setting, and called support when the reading did not change. They found the update had reset my operating mode to backup-only instead of self-consumption. Switching it back fixed everything within a few minutes. That small scare taught me not to trust an app number blindly and to keep screenshots of my original settings.
After several months, the solar battery has become ordinary household equipment, which is the best compliment.
