We still buy power overnight in winter, so I am not pretending the battery makes us independent. It simply shifts when we use electricity.

I had one worrying moment in July. The battery stopped charging at 86%, and the app showed a temperature warning. I checked ventilation clearance, restarted the monitoring gateway, and called the installer. They found a loose temperature sensor connector, not a failed cell. After reseating it, charging returned normally. That taught me to keep app alerts enabled and save the installer’s number.
