That quiet backup mattered more than I expected, especially because our internet modem and sump pump remained running.

I did have one small troubleshooting moment. The battery stopped discharging one afternoon even though the house was drawing power. The monitoring app showed a communication warning, so I power-cycled the gateway and reseated its Ethernet cable. It came back within ten minutes. The installer later explained that a firmware update had left the gateway offline. Since then, I check the app once a week and keep the gateway on a small UPS.
