I have learned to treat the battery as a practical energy buffer, not a magic money-saving machine. On bright days it reaches full charge by early afternoon. On rainy days I preserve it for dinner and let the grid cover overnight. I also set a reserve level so there is backup capacity during outages, though I have only tested that feature briefly.
What I appreciate most is the quiet, automatic operation. No daily battery swapping or complicated scheduling is required. Fewer monthly peak-hour surprises are the real win for me.
