Cloudy days are less dramatic, but partial charging still reduces evening grid use.
The only hiccup happened during the first month. The inverter stopped discharging at 40 percent, and I initially suspected a faulty cell. Checking the app revealed the backup reserve setting had changed during a firmware update. Restoring the 25-percent reserve fixed it immediately. That taught me to check settings before blaming the lithium iron phosphate cells.
Six months in, system has been reliable. I clean panels, check battery temperature, and compare energy data with utility bills. The biggest lesson is that storage value depends on timing. This setup makes energy useful after dark.
