Solution Solar Battery
Every evening, I check my solar battery app before making dinner, mostly because I enjoy seeing how much energy our panels stored instead of sending back to the grid. Since installing the deye sun 10k sg04lp3 hybrid inverter with a 10 kWh lithium battery, our evening routine has changed noticeably.
Before the system, our electricity use climbed during peak hours, especially when the heat pump, oven, and dishwasher ran together. Now the battery charges from rooftop solar through the afternoon and carries us through the expensive evening period. I set the battery reserve at 20 percent, which has been enough to keep some backup for overnight essentials without giving up too much usable capacity.
The biggest practical difference shows on my bill. In the first full month, our grid import dropped by roughly 60%, from around 780 kWh to just over 300. I am not treating that as a guaranteed number, because weather and household habits vary, but the pattern has stayed consistent. Our utility's peak rate is nearly twice the off-peak rate, so using stored solar after 4:00 p.m. matters more than simply producing a large daytime total. On sunny days, I often reach dinner with the battery at 85% or higher, then finish the night around 35%. On cloudy days, the battery still shifts consumption away from the highest tariff window, although I occasionally pull from the grid earlier than planned.
I did have one minor scare. During a firmware update, the inverter briefly showed a battery communication warning. The house kept running, but charging stopped. I turned off the inverter according to the manual, waited a few minutes, and restarted it. The warning cleared and the battery resumed charging that afternoon. Since then, I have kept screenshots of the settings and check the app weekly rather than assuming everything is perfect.
After six months, my solar battery system has not eliminated electricity bills, and I pay a connection charge and buy grid power in winter. Still, the peak-hour savings are tangible, and the deye sun 10k sg04lp3 has made solar investment feel practical every day.
