I installed my home battery storage system last spring, pairing a 5kW solar inverter with a 10kWh LiFePO4 battery bank. During the first week, I watched the monitoring app constantly, hoping the promised peak-hour savings were real.
Before the battery, my electric meter jumped every evening when cooking, running the heat-pump dryer, and charging my laptop and phones.
