Running my home on solar power has changed how I think about electricity bills. I added a 48V lithium battery after getting tired of sending surplus daytime generation back to the grid for a small credit, then buying power back during expensive evening hours.
My setup is ordinary: six rooftop panels, a hybrid inverter, and one wall-mounted LiFePO4 solar battery. A power cycle and firmware update fixed it, and customer support confirmed the settings. The experience taught me to check operating modes before assuming the battery was failing.
I now keep the reserve at 20%, so we have some backup power if another outage hits. It is not a magic solution—I still shift laundry and dishwasher use to sunny afternoons—but this solar battery has made our household less dependent on peak electricity and much more predictable.
