The connection returned without a service visit, but I later tightened the Wi-Fi bridge location by moving it away from a metal cabinet. Since then, the system has been boringly reliable, which is exactly what I wanted.

When friends ask about the 10kwh battery price, I tell them not to judge the purchase only by the sticker. My quote included installation, backup wiring, monitoring, and permits, so the real solar battery cost was higher than the advertised unit price. Still, I value the quieter evenings, lower peak rates, and knowing the refrigerator and internet stay powered during short outages.
