livguard inverter battery

I installed my livguard inverter battery last summer, mainly to stop depending on the grid during evening power cuts and expensive peak hours. Before that, my rooftop solar panels sent excess electricity straight back to the grid after lunch, while we bought power between 6 and 10 p.m. That was the part of the bill I wanted to change most.

Setup took one afternoon, and the technician configured solar charging and reserve.

On a bright day, the battery usually reaches full charge by early afternoon. Once the sun goes down, it runs our Wi-Fi, lights, fans, television, and refrigerator without any noticeable change. I still avoid running the water heater from stored energy, because that would empty the battery quickly.

The biggest difference appears on the electricity bill. Previously, our evening consumption averaged roughly 5 to 7 units a day. Now the solar battery supplies most of that window, and our monthly bill has fallen by about 20 to 25 percent, depending on cloudy weather. It is not a magical zero-bill result, but the peak-hour savings are easy to see. I also notice fewer interruptions during short outages, which matters more to me than the headline percentage.

I did have one minor troubleshooting moment. After a storm, the monitoring app showed the battery at 100 percent, yet the house switched to grid power that evening. I restarted the inverter and found a loose communication plug behind the unit. Once reseated, normal discharge resumed. Since then, I check the app after heavy rain rather than assuming everything is fine.

For me, this energy storage setup has been worthwhile because it uses my solar power when electricity costs most. The battery needs occasional cleaning around its vents, but I keep expectations realistic. The routine feels simple: solar charges in daylight, stored energy covers the evening, and the grid becomes a backup instead of the default.
