I installed my first solar battery storage system last spring, mainly to stop buying expensive electricity from the grid after sunset. I initially thought something was wrong with the backup battery. The app showed a reserve setting, though, which had been configured for outages. Once I lowered that reserve to 10 percent, the system behaved as expected. I kept a higher reserve during storm season afterward.
I also searched forums for “lifepo4 max” while comparing battery specifications, but I paid more attention to usable capacity, warranty support, inverter compatibility, and temperature protection than marketing labels. So far, the LiFePO4 battery has been quiet, dependable, and maintenance-free.
