Nightly, I pay more attention to my electricity meter than I ever expected, mostly because my solar battery storage has changed when my home uses power.
Before the battery, my inverter simply sent excess solar electricity back to the grid, and evening cooking felt like a penalty. I checked the app and found that the battery temperature sensor had triggered a protective limit because the cabinet vent was partly blocked by stored boxes. Moving the boxes and cleaning the vents fixed it; the system resumed charging normally the next morning.
That moment taught me to treat maintenance as seriously as the battery itself. I now glance at charge levels weekly, keep the room clear, and avoid draining below 20% unless there is an outage at home overnight.
