What I appreciate most is the quiet, automatic routine. I do not have to think about switching appliances manually. The solar battery charges when sunlight is available and powers the essentials when rates rise. I am considering adding another battery before winter, but for now this energy storage setup is making our electricity spending easier to manage.
During a power cut last month, the battery switched over without drama. I only noticed because the router stayed online and the kitchen lights did not flicker. I deliberately avoided running the oven, but the refrigerator and freezer kept working for several hours. That small test gave me confidence that the backup output is useful.
