The only glitch came during a stretch of rain. The battery stopped charging at 62%, and the monitoring app showed a communication warning. I first assumed the solar battery had failed, but the inverter was offline from our Wi-Fi router rebooting. After reconnecting the router and power-cycling the gateway, the battery appeared normally within minutes. That incident taught me to check the network before calling the installer.

Daily use has been simple. I keep the reserve at 30% so there is backup capacity, but allow the system to discharge during peak pricing. The lithium battery has needed no water or attention, and the temperature readings have stayed in our garage. For me, the best part is not being energy independent; it is using clean energy later and buying less electricity when prices are highest. I would choose solar storage again, especially with a time-of-use rate and sun to fill the battery.
