After adjusting the battery reserve to 20 percent, I now pull only about 2 kWh from the grid after sunset. My last bill was $116, even though we ran the air conditioner more often. Rates vary, so I cannot promise identical savings every month, but avoiding peak-hour electricity has made the battery storage feel worthwhile. The solar inverter switches automatically, and I rarely think about it beyond checking the app with my morning coffee.

The one hiccup happened in the first week. A cloudy afternoon left the battery at 31 percent, and our induction cooktop plus the water pump pushed the inverter near its output limit. The lights flickered once, then the system imported power from the grid. I worried that the battery was failing, but the monitoring screen showed normal operation and no fault code. I later changed the backup reserve and staggered the heavier loads. Since then, it has handled our normal evening demand without drama. That moment taught me that usable capacity is not the same as maximum power.

I would buy it again, mainly because the battery makes my solar electricity useful after sunset instead of sending much surplus back for a modest credit. For me, that peak-rate saving matters more than flashy app features or autonomy.
