That roughly $93 saving feels more useful than an abstract efficiency rating because I see it in the bank account.

During cloudy stretches, the battery does not pretend to be magic. The monitoring app shows declining charge, so I preserve capacity for refrigeration and lights rather than forcing a full evening of backup.

One small troubleshooting moment happened in July, when the system stopped discharging at 38 percent. The app reported a communication fault, and restarting the gateway fixed it after about ten minutes. I initially worried about the battery cells, but the installer confirmed the pack temperature and voltage were normal.

Online I compared my setup with an 18650 4 battery pack, but seeing the battery chemistry and capacity data makes maintenance manageable.
