8 months ago, I installed a 10kWh lithium iron phosphate battery beside my inverter, mainly to stop buying expensive evening electricity. I already had rooftop solar, but without storage I was exporting power at lunch and importing it after dinner.
The battery sits in my garage, and setup was less dramatic than I expected. The installer mounted a small hybrid inverter, connected the battery, and configured a 20% reserve.
