Yes. The GP-WP1-16K is a sealed IP65 LiFePO4 powerwall rated for permanent outdoor installation — an open balcony, a coastal plant area, an exposed wall run, or an unheated garage.

Because the enclosure is sealed and passively cooled, no battery room, ventilation or room-level climate control is required — the installation constraints of an indoor rack battery do not apply here.

The battery charges from 0 °C and will not charge below 0 °C — unless the optional heating pad brings the cells up to temperature first.

• Charge range: 0 °C to +55 °C
• Discharge range: −25 °C to +55 °C
• Heating pad: optional — select it in the page configurator. With the pad fitted, switch it on below 0 °C and charge once the cells are above 0 °C. Without the pad, charging below 0 °C is not possible.

Refusing charge below freezing is deliberate BMS behaviour, not a defect: plating lithium onto the anode at sub-zero temperature permanently reduces capacity. The pack stays installed and keeps discharging down to −25 °C through the winter, and charging resumes on its own once the cells warm back above 0 °C.

So for a site that stays above freezing, no heater is needed at all. For a site that drops below 0 °C, order the heating pad rather than relying on the weather.

Monitoring runs through Gobel VRM cloud, with Gobel Console APP, Home Assistant and ioBroker also supported.

At one cycle per day, 8,000 cycles works out to roughly 22 years of cycling; expect 10–15 years of real service once calendar ageing and operating temperature are taken into account.
