Using my solar battery after six months has changed the way I think about electricity at home. During sunny afternoons, my rooftop panels usually fill the battery before dinner, and that stored energy carries us through the expensive evening hours.
I chose the sun 100k g03 after comparing several home energy storage options. The installation was less disruptive than I expected. The installer mounted the battery beside the garage, ran a short cable to the inverter, and finished the commissioning in one day. I watched the app while they tested charge and discharge cycles.
The biggest difference shows up between 5 and 9 p.m. Before storage, I would come home, turn on the oven, heat pump, and dishwasher, then see our peak usage climb. Now the battery handles much of that load automatically. My monthly bill has dropped by roughly 30 to 40 percent, depending on weather. That is not a dramatic overnight payback, but it is a steady saving I can see.
One troubleshooting moment happened during a cloudy week. The battery stopped discharging at 18 percent, even though the app showed plenty of solar production earlier. I discovered the backup reserve had been set too high after a firmware update. Lowering the reserve restored normal operation, and customer support confirmed the setting promptly. It was not a fault, but it taught me to check settings rather than assume the hardware had failed.
I now keep the reserve around 25 percent and let the energy management system prioritize self-consumption. On grid outage nights, the battery has kept our refrigerator, Wi-Fi, lights, and a few outlets running without drama. I still use the grid occasionally, but solar panels plus battery storage have made our electricity use calmer and predictable. For me, that predictability matters really almost as much as the savings.
