I restarted the Wi-Fi dongle and power-cycled the inverter according to the manual. The connection returned after about ten minutes, and the stored energy readings caught up. Since then, I have kept automatic updates off unless necessary.

What I appreciate most is that the solar battery behaves quietly. For my household, this has made our solar power more useful and predictable, not merely something I export to the grid each day.
