Solution Solar Inverter
Our solar journey truly took off when we finally got our battery storage installed. Honestly, the setup process itself was surprisingly smooth. The team handled everything efficiently, and within a day, we were generating our own power and, more importantly, storing it. What has genuinely blown me away is the impact on our electricity bills, especially during those dreaded peak hours.
Before the battery, we used to brace ourselves for our summer electricity statements. Even with solar panels, the grid would still charge a premium for every kWh we pulled from 4 PM to 9 PM. Now, it’s a different story. We’ve programmed our system to store excess solar power generated during the day and then use that stored energy to cover our evening usage. I was skeptical, but the numbers don't lie. We’ve seen our peak-hour charges drop by a significant margin, easily saving us over $100 each month compared to last year. It’s so satisfying to see the app showing us how much we’re drawing from our own stored solar, not the expensive grid.
The heart of it all, our solaredge hybrid inverter, has been incredibly reliable. It manages the flow of energy seamlessly – charging from the sun, discharging when we need it, and still topping up from the grid if absolutely necessary, though that's rare now. It's a set-it-and-forget-it kind of deal for the most part, which is exactly what I wanted. This investment is already proving its worth, giving us peace of mind and tangible savings.
