Solution Solar Inverter
Our solar battery has changed the way I use electricity at home, especially during the evening peak period. Before installing it, my rooftop solar panels produced plenty of energy during the day, but we were still buying power from the grid after sunset. Cooking dinner, running the dishwasher, and charging devices between 6 and 9 p.m. added up quickly.
I chose a 280Ah lithium battery marketed under the phrase “solarbatterie 280ah wartungsfrei.” The installation itself was easier than I expected. The installer mounted the battery in our utility room, connected it to the hybrid inverter, and configured the energy management settings. I mainly wanted the system to prioritize our own stored solar power instead of exporting everything at a low feed-in rate.
The difference was noticeable within the first week. On sunny days, the battery usually reached full charge by mid-afternoon. In the evening, it supplied most of our household load, including the refrigerator, lights, router, and cooking appliances. According to our energy monitor, our grid consumption during peak hours dropped by roughly 60 to 70 percent. Our monthly electricity bill is now about €35 to €50 lower, depending on weather and how much heating we use.
The only minor problem came during a cloudy spell. The battery reached its minimum reserve earlier than expected, and I briefly thought something was wrong. It turned out the reserve setting was too high for winter conditions. The installer adjusted it from 30 percent to 15 percent, and the available capacity improved immediately.
I also appreciate that this solar storage battery is maintenance-free in normal use. I check the inverter app occasionally, but there is no topping up, watering, or regular battery service. For me, the biggest benefit is not complete energy independence. It is using more of my own solar electricity and seeing fewer expensive evening kilowatt-hours on the bill.
