We've programmed the battery to charge fully during off-peak hours, drawing power from the grid when it's cheapest. Then, come peak time, it seamlessly kicks in, powering our home with that stored solar energy. We’re talking significant drops in our kilowatt-hour usage from the grid during those expensive slots. It’s incredibly satisfying to see those numbers on the bill shrink. I was a bit worried about compatibility, especially with some of our older appliances, but it seems to handle everything fine, even without a pure sine wave inverter. Our existing modified sine wave inverter seems to be doing the trick for most things. We’re not running anything super sensitive, and the cost savings are so tangible, it’s made the whole investment feel like a no-brainer. It’s genuinely changed how we think about our energy consumption.
