Recently I added a battery storage system to my rooftop solar setup after getting tired of buying power from the grid every evening. Rechecking the operating mode and restarting the communication cable fixed it in about ten minutes. I now check the settings after updates instead of assuming everything is automatic.
For me, the value is not just backup power during an outage. It is the quieter feeling of using my own solar energy during expensive hours, without changing our normal routine. The system is not invisible—I keep an eye on battery temperature and reserve level—but it has become useful.
