I installed a home solar battery system last spring, mainly to stop buying expensive electricity during the evening peak. I did have one small troubleshooting moment. After a storm, the app showed the battery at 100% while the house was still drawing from the grid. I found the inverter had switched into backup mode after a brief voltage flicker. Cycling the operating mode restored normal discharge, and support later confirmed no battery fault had occurred. Since then, I have enabled automatic notifications and stopped worrying over every unusual reading.

The best benefit is less bill anxiety. I simply check the state of charge occasionally, keep the battery above 20% for outages, and let the solar storage system do its job. Our evenings are cheaper, and the system has been practical rather than demanding.
