I installed a lishen 280ah lifepo4 battery in my home solar system last spring, mainly to stop sending cheap daytime electricity back to the grid and buying it again during expensive evening hours. My setup has a 5kW hybrid inverter, rooftop solar panels, and one 48V battery bank in the utility room.
The installation was easier than I expected, although I spent most of an afternoon checking cable sizes, fuse ratings, and the battery management system settings. I did have one small troubleshooting moment. After a cloudy day, the battery stopped discharging at around 20% state of charge. At first I thought the battery had failed, but the inverter was simply protecting the reserve level I had configured. I adjusted that setting slightly, and normal operation returned. I actually appreciated the protection because it showed the battery management system was doing its job rather than blindly draining the cells.
