I later learned a firmware update had caused the display to lag, not an actual loss of power.

That experience also changed how I use the solar battery. I keep a slightly larger backup reserve now and check the state-of-charge once a week, rather than obsessively watching it every day. Overall, the storage system feels less like a gadget and more like part of the house: quiet, reliable, and genuinely useful when peak rates hit.
