Solution Solar Battery
Very few upgrades around my house have felt as immediately useful as adding an eve 100ah solar battery to my rooftop system. I installed it mainly to avoid buying expensive electricity during the evening peak, when my family is cooking, running the dishwasher, and charging devices. Before the battery, my solar panels produced plenty of power during the day, but I still watched the meter climb after sunset.
Now, the battery charges from excess solar production through the afternoon. Once the sun goes down, it powers the refrigerator, lights, Wi-Fi, television, and smaller appliances. On a typical sunny day, I get through most of the evening without drawing much from the grid. My daily electricity bill has dropped by roughly 30 to 40 percent, although the exact savings depend on the weather and how much energy we use. The biggest difference shows up during peak-rate hours. Instead of paying the highest tariff from about 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., I am using stored solar energy.
The setup was simpler than I expected, but I did have one minor troubleshooting moment. After a firmware update, the battery monitoring app showed the state of charge stuck at 78 percent for several hours. The battery was still working, so I checked the cables, restarted the inverter, and gave the system a little time. The reading eventually corrected itself overnight. Since then, I have learned not to panic over a delayed app display when the solar inverter and battery are operating normally.
What I appreciate most is the quiet, automatic operation. I do not have to manually switch anything on, and the backup power feature gives me extra reassurance during short outages. It has not eliminated my electricity bill, but the combination of solar self-consumption, peak-hour savings, and reliable battery storage makes the system feel worthwhile every month.
