Ever since I installed a 10-kWh home battery beside my solar inverter, the biggest change has been how ordinary evenings feel. Before storage, my rooftop panels produced plenty at noon, but I still bought expensive electricity after dinner. The only hiccup came after a firmware update. The app stopped showing battery discharge for one morning, although the house remained powered normally. I restarted the gateway as support suggested, and the readings returned within ten minutes. Since then, I have kept the battery reserve at 25%, rather than chasing every last kilowatt-hour. For me, that cushion is worth more than squeezing out extra savings, because backup matters here when storms roll through.
