That small lesson changed how I use the system: I now leave about 20% reserved for outages, instead of sacrificing too much daily savings.

What I appreciate most is the quiet, automatic operation. I rarely touch the controls; the energy management system uses solar first, stores surplus power, and supplies the house when rates rise. For my household, pairing solar panels, battery storage, and time-of-use pricing has made evening electricity feel far less expensive and noticeably more predictable without changing how we live day to day.
