0ne of the best changes I made to my home was adding a solar battery after getting tired of watching evening electricity rates eat into my rooftop panels' savings.
I chose a 60280 battery because its quoted capacity suited my daily usage, and the installer finished the wall-mounted setup in one afternoon.
The first week was mostly about learning the monitoring app. I changed my charge schedule so solar power filled the battery before export began.
That small adjustment made a surprisingly large difference. Before storage, my house drew expensive grid electricity from 5 p.m. until bedtime, exactly when everyone was home.

I did have one minor troubleshooting moment. One morning, the app showed the battery at 100 percent, yet the inverter reported it was not discharging.
I checked the settings, found that backup mode had been selected accidentally, and switched it back to self-consumption. Within a few minutes, the normal discharge resumed.
That experience taught me not to panic at a confusing app notification. The hardware was fine; I had simply changed a setting while exploring the battery monitoring screen.
After six months, I am happiest with the quiet, automatic routine: panels charge the energy storage system by day, and stored power handles the expensive hours at night. It is not magic, but this solar battery has made our energy use cheaper and less stressful.
