2 a.m. was when I noticed my solar battery doing its job. Our power had flickered during a storm, but the refrigerator never stopped and the lights stayed on. I had installed a 320ah lithium battery in the garage three months earlier to avoid expensive evening electricity rates.

I did have one minor troubleshooting moment. The battery stopped discharging one afternoon even though its charge level looked healthy. I checked the app and found a temperature warning after the garage door had been left open on a freezing night. I warmed the room, reset the inverter, and normal operation returned within an hour. That taught me to watch the operating temperature range instead of assuming every alert meant a failure.
After three months, I am happiest with the quiet routine. I rarely think about the system now; it simply stores surplus solar energy and releases it when grid electricity is most expensive. For my home, those practical peak-hour savings have made the solar battery worth the upfront cost.
