I chose this battery after reading specifications from a lifepo4 battery cell manufacturer and comparing usable capacity, cycle life, warranty, and local support. My installer mounted it in the garage, connected it to the hybrid inverter, and configured a 20% reserve for outages. The physical installation took most of a day. The app setup was less smooth: pairing failed twice, but restarting the battery gateway fixed it.

Within the first week, I noticed the biggest change on ordinary evenings. The battery charges from solar around lunchtime, then automatically discharges after the utility's peak period begins. My dishwasher, refrigerator, lights, and heat-pump water heater now run mostly from stored energy. I did not expect the savings to be dramatic every single day, because cloudy weather still means importing power, but the monthly difference was obvious.

My evening grid usage fell from roughly 11 kWh to 2 or 3 kWh on sunny days. Our bill dropped by about $48 in the first full month, and averaged around $35 monthly over the summer. That is not instant payback, but it makes the battery feel useful rather than merely impressive on a specification sheet.

One small troubleshooting moment taught me something. During a short outage, the system switched over, but my router rebooted and the app showed zero stored energy. I checked the inverter display; it showed the battery at 62%. The gateway had lost connection. After updating firmware, everything has worked normally since.
