Gobel Power Project X LiFePO4 Battery DIY Kit for EVE MB56 628Ah LiFePO4 Cells

The GP-PROJECT-X2 includes the JK BMS 300A (V19) — a higher-current smart inverter BMS rated for the large EVE MB56 628Ah cells:

• Real-time monitoring of cell voltage, current, and temperature
• 2A active balancing built in to keep all 16 cells matched cycle after cycle
• Bluetooth app access plus CAN / RS485 / RS232 ports for inverter communication
• Optional heating pad for cold-climate charging

Please note: JK BMS firmware and software are developed and maintained entirely by JK. As the hardware integrator, Gobel Power cannot be held responsible for firmware/software behavior, though we will report issues to JK and request updates.

Assembled with 16x EVE MB56 628Ah cells, the Project X 2 builds a 51.2V 628Ah / 32.15 kWh LiFePO4 battery — one of the highest-capacity single-cabinet DIY builds available.

Power handling:

• JKBMS 300A continuous discharge
• 2P200A circuit breaker (400A total) integrated in the kit, or a Class-T 500A fuse breaker option for stronger short-circuit protection

That is enough to run a whole home, a farm system, or a small commercial load. The 628Ah cells themselves are rated for up to 8,000 cycles, so a 32kWh pack can serve daily solar cycling for well over a decade.

Two design features set the GP-PROJECT-X2 apart from ordinary DIY boxes:

• Adjustable cell compression: large prismatic LiFePO4 cells swell and contract over their cycle life. The Project X frame applies and holds compression across the 16-cell 628Ah stack (the clamp specification calls for about 300 kg of force), which controls swelling, maintains internal contact, and helps extend cycle life. The compression is adjustable so you can set it correctly for your cells
• Anti-flame ABS transparent case: fire-retardant material with a transparent cover — visually inspect cells, busbars, and wiring at any time without opening the case

Together with the 400A circuit breaker and optional Class-T 500A fuse, overcurrent and short-circuit protection is covered end to end.

The JK BMS 300A supports CAN / RS485 / RS232 communication, so the finished battery integrates with mainstream hybrid solar inverters in lithium battery mode (Deye, GoodWe, Growatt, Victron, Solis, Luxpower and more).

No BMS communication input on your inverter? Set it manually in lead-acid mode:

• Max charge voltage: 55.2V (3.45V per cell)
• Max charge current: 150A
• Max discharge current: 300A (match your 300A BMS)

The BMS continues to provide overcharge, over-discharge, and short-circuit protection either way. When running several packs in parallel, use only the same capacity and same cell version, and perform a full charge to 100% at least monthly to keep SOC readings accurate.

Assembly: the Project X 2 keeps the series' transparent case, easy assembly design — compression plates, busbars, BMS, and breaker mount step by step, and a step-by-step assembly manual is available in the related downloads. Only basic electrical safety knowledge is required.

• EVE MB56 628Ah cells purchased for the kit carry a 10-year warranty; the BMS carries a 1-year warranty (hardware only)
