EV Grade A+ EVE 3.2V 306Ah MB30 Rechargeable LiFePO4 Battery Cell

They are actually the same cell platform — EVE just tuned the claims differently:

• EVE 306Ah (MB30): claimed lower capacity but longer cycle life — 10,000 cycles
• EVE 314Ah (MB31): claimed higher capacity but shorter cycle life — 8,000 cycles
• Identical footprint: 207.5 × 72 × 173.7mm — the same 72mm prismatic format, so they share the same compression fixtures, busbar kits, and rack enclosures
• Status: the 306Ah MB30 has been discontinued by EVE; the 314Ah MB31 is the current production model

Important: do not mix MB30 and MB31 cells (or cells of different capacities or production versions) in the same 16S battery pack — mixing different types of LiFePO4 cells reduces pack life and can create imbalance and safety risks.

If you want the 10,000-cycle endurance class in the standard 72mm format, the remaining MB30 stock is the pick; for future expandability with matching in-production cells, the 314Ah is the safer long-term choice.

The MB30 is rated for 10,000 charge/discharge cycles — nearly 27 years of daily cycling at one cycle per day, with only 2–4% capacity fade per year under normal use — among the longest-endurance LFP cells on the DIY market. Every cell is backed by a 5-year warranty, and at checkout you can add an extended warranty of 3 more years.

What protects that life in real service:

• Cobalt-free LiFePO4 chemistry — inherently stable, no thermal runaway risk
• 0.5C/0.5C continuous rating (153A) — conservative rates that keep heat generation low
• 10%–90% recommended SOC window — avoids stressing the cell at the extremes
• For 16S packs, set the inverter/charger to 55.2V max charge voltage, up to 150A charge / 200A discharge, in lithium (CAN/RS485) or lead-acid mode, and fully charge the pack to 100% at least once a month to keep BMS SOC readings accurate
• UL certification verifies the safety design, not just the spec sheet

HSEV is the top tier in Gobel Power's four-level consistency grading (ESS → LSEV → HSEV- → HSEV) — the same tier EVE sells in its official shop:

• ★★★★ capacity consistency — cells matched for uniform capacity, voltage, and internal resistance
• Intact original QR code on every cell — scan or enter the code into our Grade A EVE QR Decoder tool on the website to see that cell's real measured capacity, voltage, IR, production date, and batch data
• Official EVE test report and sample-cell batch data published (latest batch 25/Mar/2024, production Feb/2024)

Market "Grade A" labels vary wildly — some sellers relabel Grade B cells or ship cells with fake QR codes and no test reports. EVE now prints a B Mark on all ESS-grade cells so ESS stock can't be passed off as HSEV; these cells carry no B Mark and verify as genuine EVE LiFePO4 cells on EVE's traceability system.
