That is not a perfect comparison because the weather was mild, but the battery consistently saves us around $60–$80 monthly in summer. It is especially satisfying to see the system discharge while I cook dinner instead of watching the smart meter climb.

I spent more time researching than I expected. The only hiccup came two weeks later, when the app showed “standby” during a sunny afternoon. I checked the breaker first, then restarted the inverter. It turned out to be a brief Wi-Fi connection problem, not a battery fault. Since then, monitoring has been boring, which is exactly what I wanted. That suits us perfectly. For my home, that quiet peak-hour savings has been the most valuable part of owning a solar battery.
