From the first week of using my solar battery storage system, I noticed the biggest change after dinner. My rooftop panels still produce power during the day, but the battery stores that excess instead of sending it straight back to the grid. I also appreciate having backup power during short outages. It does not run the whole house indefinitely; I manually avoid the dryer and oven. Still, keeping the refrigerator, router, and a few lights operating without interruption is reassuring. My main advice is to watch your actual energy habits for a week before choosing battery capacity. I almost oversized mine based on marketing estimates. Learning our evening consumption made the current solar storage setup feel much more sensible.
