After two summers of watching my utility bill climb, I finally added a 10-kWh lithium iron phosphate solar battery to our rooftop system. One small hiccup happened during a cloudy week. The battery stopped discharging at 37%, apparently because the backup reserve was set too high. I initially thought the unit had failed. After reading the manual and messaging support, I lowered the reserve from 40% to 20%. The battery immediately resumed working that evening. It was a settings issue, not hardware trouble, and the support response arrived within an hour.
Now I keep that 20% reserve for outages and let the system cycle daily. During a recent two-hour power cut, the refrigerator, Wi-Fi, and a few lights stayed on without noise or fuss. I still have not recovered the investment, but the lower bills and extra resilience make the battery worthwhile for us.
