I installed a home solar battery last spring, mainly because my electricity bill kept jumping during evening peak hours. I already had 5.5 kW of rooftop panels, but before adding storage I was sending cheap midday power back to the grid and buying it back expensively after dinner. My only annoyance was a brief inverter warning caused by a loose cable. After tightening it, everything returned to normal without further trouble.
