It is not tied into the house system, but comparing the two helped me understand why proper fusing, a battery management system, and correct charging voltage matter. I once found the portable battery’s charger had stopped because its low-temperature protection was active. Bringing it indoors for an hour fixed the issue; no dramatic repair was needed.

My only everyday complaint is remembering to check the app when several cloudy days arrive. I now reserve enough charge for overnight essentials instead of chasing maximum savings. For our household, solar storage has been less about energy independence and more about reducing peak demand, keeping backup power available, and making the rooftop panels useful after sunset.
