I did have one small troubleshooting moment. After a storm, the monitoring app showed the battery offline, although the inverter lights looked normal. I switched off the communications breaker for a minute, restarted it, and the connection returned. The battery had continued operating, so it was more alarming than serious.

That said, the app is not always perfect; it sometimes reports yesterday’s savings several hours late. I trust the household meter more than graphs. What matters most is noticing the difference without changing our habits. Stored solar power handles the highest rates, and backup kept our refrigerator and internet running through two outages. That practical reliability makes the system worthwhile to me.

At prices, I expect this solar battery to take years to pay for itself, but savings help.
