Solution Solar Battery DIY Parts
Using my solar battery storage system has changed how I think about electricity, especially after installing the huawei sun2000 10ktl inverter at home. Before adding storage, my solar panels produced plenty of power during the day, but we were usually out at work. The excess electricity went back to the grid, while our evening cooking, heating, and washing pushed us into expensive peak-hour rates.
The biggest practical difference is that the battery now charges through the afternoon and runs the house after sunset. I usually set it to charge from solar only, then discharge between about 5 p.m. and 10 p.m. When the battery is full, it covers our lights, refrigerator, internet equipment, and much of our evening appliance use. On a typical sunny day, our evening grid consumption has dropped from around 10–12 kWh to roughly 2–4 kWh. Our monthly bill is not zero, but it is commonly $70–$100 lower than before, depending on weather and seasonal heating.
I did have one small troubleshooting moment during the first month. The battery stopped discharging overnight even though the monitoring app showed plenty of stored energy. After checking the settings, I found the backup reserve had accidentally been set very high. Lowering that reserve restored normal operation. It was a simple fix, but it taught me not to assume a full battery automatically means it is available for daily use.
So far, the Huawei solar inverter and lithium battery system have been quiet and predictable. I check the energy monitoring app most mornings, mainly to see whether yesterday’s solar production matched expectations. Cloudy weeks still mean higher grid usage, but on ordinary days the battery storage system makes our solar power much more useful. The savings are gradual rather than dramatic, yet the reduced peak-hour dependence is something I notice every month.
