fimer inverter

I installed a home solar battery last spring, mainly because my electricity bills were getting painful during evening peak hours. My rooftop panels already covered much of our daytime use, but after dinner we were pulling power from the grid at the worst rates. The storage system changed that pattern immediately.

My setup uses a 10-kWh lithium battery paired with a fimer inverter. The installation took most of a day. The crew mounted the battery in the garage, ran new conduit, and explained the monitoring app without making me feel rushed. I was nervous about the settings, but programming the battery to charge from solar and discharge from roughly 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. was straightforward.

The savings have been most noticeable on ordinary weekdays. Before storage, my evening usage often added $3 to $5 per day in grid charges. Now the battery usually carries the refrigerator, Wi-Fi equipment, lights, and television through the expensive window. On sunny days, it still has enough capacity left for the heat pump to run briefly. My monthly bill has fallen by about $70 to $100, although I am careful not to call that a guaranteed number because weather and utility rates vary.

I did have one minor scare during the first month. The app showed the battery at 100%, but our house was still drawing from the grid after sunset. I checked the schedule and found the backup reserve set unusually high at 80%. That left only a small usable portion for daily cycling. I lowered the reserve to 25%, while keeping enough emergency power for an outage. Since then, the system has behaved normally, and the monitoring app makes it easy to see whether solar production, battery charging, or household demand is responsible for a change.

I appreciate how quietly it works.
