X-factor for me was not having solar panels on the roof but using stored power during the evening peak. I installed a modest 1.5 kW solar battery system last summer, mainly to cut the expensive 6pm-to-10pm electricity period. A settings reset and one firmware update fixed it; customer support also replied the next morning. Since then, I keep a 20-percent reserve for outages and check the event log weekly.
What I appreciate most is the quiet practicality: no fuel to store, no daily switching, and automatic solar-first power during our evenings at home.
