I did have one small troubleshooting moment. After a cloudy weekend, the state of charge reached 22 percent, and the inverter stopped discharging earlier than I expected. I initially blamed the battery, but the app showed its low-voltage reserve setting was conservative. I raised the next-day solar charging target slightly and left a bigger reserve for cloudy conditions. Since then, the energy storage system has behaved predictably, with no alarming heat, noise, or swelling.

For me, the worthwhile part is not energy independence. It is using my solar power when it matters and reducing peak monthly utility bills.
