I checked the inverter and found backup output had been switched off after a firmware update. Turning it back on fixed the issue; no reset or service call was needed. That taught me to check settings before assuming the lithium battery had failed.

For anyone comparing solar battery systems, I would focus on usable capacity, inverter compatibility, warranty, and app reliability. I also learned that an alibaba lithium battery charger is not automatically suitable for every home battery; charging voltage and battery-management-system compatibility matter more than a low price.
