We still draw from the grid on cloudy days, but the difference is obvious on the bill.

My first month with the solar battery cut peak electricity charges by roughly 40%, saving about $48. That is not a dramatic number, but winter bills are usually much higher, so I expect better results in summer. I also like seeing the state of charge stay around 25% overnight instead of draining completely.

The only annoyance is remembering to check the app after a firmware update. Once, it reset my discharge schedule to default settings, and the battery started exporting energy at the wrong time. I caught it after one expensive evening, corrected the tariff window, and have had no trouble since. For my home, this lithium solar storage system has become a quiet, practical way to use more of the power I already generate.
