Keeping our evening electricity bills under control was the main reason I added a home solar battery to my rooftop system. Before that, my panels produced plenty during the day, but I still bought expensive power after sunset. My routine is simple. The battery charges from solar once the panels have covered the house's daytime use. I also keep a phone screenshot of the battery state of charge, just in case I need to explain anything to the installer.
