2a.m. starts to feel different since I installed my home battery storage system. Instead of waking to the inverter screaming for grid power, I usually see the battery sitting around 45 percent, quietly carrying the refrigerator, router, and a small heat pump through the night. That change has been the biggest practical win for me.
My setup is modest: rooftop solar, a 10 kWh LiFePO4 battery bank, a hybrid inverter, and an automatic transfer switch.
